StayBrief for iPhone

Terms of Use

Effective and last updated: 14 August 2026

StayBrief is licensed through the App Store under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. This page identifies the terms that apply and explains the subscription and support boundaries without replacing or modifying Apple's agreement.

1. License

StayBrief is licensed, not sold. The controlling license is Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). It governs the scope of the license, permitted use, maintenance and support, warranties, liability, termination, and other terms for the app. If this summary differs from the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls.

2. Pro subscription

Pro is an auto-renewable yearly subscription purchased through the App Store. The price and renewal period are shown before purchase. Payment is charged by Apple. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through your App Store subscription settings before the renewal date. Apple handles billing, cancellation, refunds, and the Apple Account used for the purchase under its applicable terms.

Cancelling stops future renewal; it does not remove the current paid period. When Pro ends, StayBrief keeps local history, custom goals, custom time options, and existing protection choices. The app applies the Free limits only through the in-app choice it explains, and it does not delete those records.

3. Free features and availability

The Free version has no session quota or expiry. Screen Time, notifications, Live Activities, StoreKit, and App Store availability depend on Apple services, device settings, region, and compatible system software. StayBrief does not guarantee that an optional system surface or app-opening handoff will always be displayed or accepted.

4. Your choices and acceptable use

You choose which apps to protect and can turn all protection off in StayBrief Settings. Do not misuse the app, attempt to interfere with Apple services, or use StayBrief in a way prohibited by the Standard EULA or applicable law. StayBrief is a personal self-management tool and is not a safety, emergency, or medical service.

5. Privacy and support

The Privacy Policy explains local data handling and the separate information involved when you visit this site or email support. For help with StayBrief, use the Support page. Apple remains responsible for App Store billing and account services to the extent stated in Apple's terms.

6. Changes

This page may be updated to keep its explanation aligned with StayBrief or Apple services. It does not amend Apple's Standard EULA. A material product or data-practice change will be reflected in the app and Privacy Policy before it takes effect.
